AMRAP; As Many Rounds As Possible.
It’s a great way to utilise time and make a killer workout.
Often people don’t like spending ages on a workout, or they feel rushed and don’t want to spend ages on their workouts. They want to get in and out in as short a time as possible.
Ideally, you want to spend a bit of time in the gym, so you learn to control movements and learn to activate the right muscles at the right time. But that is not always possible.
Or maybe you just want to try something new.
An AMRAP is a circuit based training method.
It is where you set a time limit for your workout, and you have to keep going and going till the time limit is up.
It is a great conditioning and cardiovascular workout.
The time limit is 20 minutes. You have to complete as many rounds as you physically can in 20 minutes.
5 pull-ups, 10 press-ups, 15 squats. This is one round.
Once you finish the squats, you then go back to the press-ups and aim to complete another round and so on.
Give it a go and let me know how you get on.
