Calories in Vs Calories out.
Eat Less, Move More.

We hear both of those statements so so much. But what does it mean?

If your goal is to lose weight, then you need to follow these statements. As they are the fundamentals of weight loss.

‘Calories in Vs Calories out’.
All this is, is energy balance. It’s the energy balance of your body.

A calorie is just a unit measurement of energy. So if a piece of food is 10 calories, it will give you 10 units of energy.

Therefore if your goal is to lose weight, you need the ‘Calories out’ to be higher than the ‘Calories in’ number. Helps create a Calorie deficit (Eating less than your body needs).

However, this does not mean that you have to go balls to the wall with your training and diet to get the ‘Calories out’ number as high as you can.

This is where the ‘Eat Less, Move More’ statement comes in. You are manipulating both parts of the energy balance.

By eating less you are bringing down the ‘Calories in’ figure. Therefore you are making sure that you don’t have to go balls to the wall all the time with your training. You’re making sure you’re in a calorie deficit.
And then the Move More part can be as simple as increasing your steps. Doesn’t mean you have to do structured exercise every day. It just means increasing your daily activity every day to help create a calorie deficit. And then training on a set number of days to help you reach that goal quicker.

Doing both of these things helps you reach your goal and it is fairly simple to follow.
Don’t over complicated.
If you want to lose weight then eat a bit less, move more and you will succeed.
